Scholarships
Every year, the Hemphill Lions Club awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating Hemphill seniors, funded by the community events we run all year long.
Help Fund the Next One
What It Is
$1,000, awarded every year, to a graduating Hemphill senior.
This is one of our recipients, handed the award by a Lions Club member at graduation. It's not a loan and it's not a maybe, it's $1,000 toward college or a trade, funded entirely by the community showing up to our events.
Where the Money Comes From
Every ticket, every ad, every raffle entry.
The award is fixed at $1,000. How many Hemphill seniors receive one each year depends entirely on what the club raises, Haunted House tickets, Talent Show program ads, and raffle entries. More tickets sold in October means more scholarships handed out the following May.
More Recipients
A few more from our 2025 and 2026 presentations.
